Albufeira

Normally we stay in and around Albufeira. Albufeira has some nice beaches to the west of the town. This is where we kayak and snorkle. There are small beaches, nice rock formations and enough to see (whether it is for hiking, kayaking or snorkling). However it depends of the sea and weather conditions. Faro - Ria de Faro

Whenever it is not possible to kayak and snorkle in Albufeira, we chose to head to the Ria de Faro. The Ria de Faro is a unique nature area, in the surroundings of the city of Faro. It hosts a magnificent population of birds, fish and the worlds biggest population of sea horses. Never will the chance be bigger to encounter one in a wildlife environment than in this area.
